Reflections on My 700th Blog Post: Eight Years of Writing and Counting.

As I celebrate my 700th blog post, it’s a moment of reflection on a journey that began in mid-2015. Eight years of blogging, a period that has seen the evolution of my thoughts, the expansion of my writing repertoire, and the incorporation of various facets of life into my digital chronicles.

Initially, retirement gifted me the luxury of time, and with a keen eye for observation, I found inspiration around every corner. Motivational stories and positive thoughts flowed from my pen, accompanied by advice forged from the crucible of my life experiences—an offering to the younger generation navigating the complexities of existence.

In the early days, my audience was modest, but as time unfolded, more readers joined the fold. Writing became a therapeutic addiction, propelling me to diversify my content. Recognizing that a continuous stream of moral lectures might not captivate as much, I broadened my scope to include photography, humor, and reminiscences from my military life.

My global travels, particularly to the United States, where my children have settled, introduced travel narratives and cultural insights into my blog’s repertoire. Drawing parallels between my military background and the civilian world, I ventured into management issues, realizing the transferability of lessons learned in the defense services to the corporate realm.

Admittedly, there were periods where the rhythm waned, and I could barely muster 20 to 30 posts in a year. However, resilience prevailed, and the momentum was recaptured. Today, I find myself writing a blog post daily—it has become a morning ritual, a habit ingrained in my routine. The day begins with early rising, gathering ideas, penning them down, and a nourishing breakfast. Morning exercises provide both physical rejuvenation and fodder for my creative lens—capturing the beauty of subjects and objects encountered en route with my iPhone camera.

Life unfolds in a series of moments, some delightful, others testing. Through the lens of my blog, I express the beauty I encounter and absorb the blows without retaliation, choosing instead to channel my emotions into creative expression.

As I march forward with my writing, the desire to contribute to society remains a driving force. If even one person finds inspiration, gains insight, or steers their life in a positive direction through my words, I consider my duty fulfilled. Writing, for me, is a perpetual commitment—one that I hope to sustain as long as I traverse this planet Earth.

In the grand tapestry of life, each blog post is a thread, contributing to the mosaic of experiences, thoughts, and reflections. Here’s to the next set of 700 blogs—may they continue to resonate, inspire, and weave connections in the intricate fabric of existence. Have a fine day, and let the words flow.

Guchi.
