I am connected, wires unseen,
Thanks to digital media’s screen.
Everywhere, in every place,
Kith and kin, friends embrace.
I am connected to my foes,
To people whom I like and those
Who like me back, or despise me still,
Yet connection fills the bill.
I am connected to the moon and stars,
To planet Earth, both near and far.
Their videos and photos in my view,
A digital bond, so true.
I am connected to my health,
Fitness watches, a digital wealth.
Move and complete each set goal,
Guided by the tech patrol.
I am connected to my meds,
Net tells me what the doctor said.
Connected spiritually, to myself,
Videos and lectures line my shelf.
I am connected to shopping sprees,
To meals that come with utmost ease.
Nothing escapes this vast net,
In entertainment, I am set.
I am connected to my cash,
Finance apps in a flash.
Yet I feel so deeply lone,
What if these devices are gone?
What shall I do, where will I stray,
How will I survive the day?
Somebody tell me, show me the way,
How will I survive, if tech fades away?
Guchi.
