Release Your Steam..

“Take your load off.” Each one of us has challenges, situations we cannot control, and dark secrets we fear sharing due to the potential ridicule from others. Humans are like enclosed utensils, akin to a pressure cooker. If its valve malfunctions, it will explode. Certain things you can share with your spouse and family—do that. But there are also things you must keep private. If you don’t let go of the steam within you, there will be an explosion.

Sometimes, your boss or superior harasses you constantly, leaving you with no way out. Retaliating could get you fired. Other times, financial issues loom over you. Sometimes your Emotional equation has gone for a Six. So, how do you release your bottled-up feelings and feel lighter? I suggest a simple technique: find a secluded place in your house or elsewhere. Enter it alone. Speak out your bad feelings. Yell, and abuse whoever has irritated you. Play loud music to mask your voice. Dance, do kickboxing, sing loudly, yell, curse—do whatever pleases you, but take it out.

Speak out your secrets or the things you can’t share. Behave like a lunatic during this period. Curse whoever you feel like. Curse yourself if you need to. Laugh at your stupidities. Act like a child—nobody is watching you. Throw away your negative energy. Only come out from that place when you feel light. Laugh, cry, yell. Sing, dance—do whatever it takes to make you feel light. You will feel better. Call this exercise “Release Your Steam.”
