Born Free and Chained thereafter..

Born free, a soul unbound,
In nature’s pure embrace we’re found.
Clothes, religion, and a name bestowed,
Our inherent freedom, then erode.

Parents and society’s reign,
Intrude upon our sovereign domain.
Schools and colleges, their strict decree,
Mould us in ways we may not see.

Politics’ influence, a heavy hand,
In shaping how we take our stand.
Rules and norms, society’s grace,
May sometimes limit our embrace.

Personal choice, a vital role,
In the balance of freedom and control.
A paradox we often find,
We trade some freedom for peace of mind.

Cultural, environmental sway,
Influence us day by day.
Adaptation, transformation’s art,
In these, we find our freedom’s heart.

Yet, in the end, we must concede,
Only death can fully set us free.
Life’s constraints, in time we shed,
Beyond this realm, our souls are led.

In this complex dance of give and take,
Balancing freedom, rules, and fate,
We seek the path that leads us to,
A life where freedom and love hold true.

Guchi.
