All About Money…

In my dreams one night I met Money, that elusive and captivating entity. I couldn’t help but express my initial skepticism, saying, ‘You are just a piece of paper.’ Money, in all its enigmatic glory, responded with a twinkle in its metaphorical eye, ‘Of course, I am a piece of paper, but I haven’t seen a dustbin in my life.’

After waking up, as I contemplated those words, I realized the profound message behind Money’s whimsical reply. Money, indeed, is nothing more than a physical representation, whether in the form of paper bills or digital digits on a screen. Yet, it holds an extraordinary power over human lives, influencing decisions, opportunities, and even the pursuit of happiness.

Money changes a person’s status in the eyes of the world. As per a famous Hindi quote, “माया के तीन नाम, परसू, परसा, परस राम”।Explaining in English it implies that a person without any money is called in an insulting manner as Parsu and as he starts earning something his name gets upgraded to Parsa and finally when he becomes rich, people call him by the name of Paras Ram (some even call him as Sri Paras Ram Ji).

Money doesn’t discriminate; it doesn’t care about one’s background, age, or gender. It flows through the hands of paupers and kings alike. But what truly makes it significant is how people perceive it, respect it, and utilize it.

Money’s ability to transcend time and cultural boundaries is remarkable. It’s a silent witness to human endeavors, the rise and fall of civilizations, and the dreams and aspirations of countless individuals. Money, despite its simple material form, carries the weight of economic systems, social structures, and personal ambitions.

The notion of Money never seeing a dustbin highlights its enduring value. Unlike disposable objects or consumables that are discarded once their purpose is served, Money remains in constant circulation. It changes hands, but it rarely faces an end. It moves through the world, influencing economies, shaping destinies, and, in some cases, even transforming the course of history.

Money’s journey is not without controversy. It can be a source of both good and evil, creating opportunities and challenges, fostering innovation and sometimes corruption. How individuals choose to employ Money is a reflection of their values, ethics, and priorities.

So, as I stand here, pondering Money’s response, I came to realize that it’s not just a piece of paper or a digital number; it’s a symbol of human desires, needs, and choices. Money may not have a physical existence beyond being ‘just a piece of paper,’ but its influence, reach, and power are very real in our lives. How we handle Money, whether we treat it as a faithful companion or an alluring adversary, ultimately shapes the narrative of our own existence.
