A Stupid man’s adventure. A poem based on a Punjabi Folklore.

On a road he strolled, grams in hand he munched,

When a sleeping dog his attention crunched.

A silly notion sprang from within his head,

He kicked the dog, filled with foolish dread.

The dog growled and snarled, a fierce canine chase,

Through lanes and alleys, at a breakneck pace.

The dog snapped at his leg, took a piece of his calf muscle,

He cried and he ran, no idea what to do.

In his wild flight, a cyclist he did slam,

The poor person’s bike crumpled, he was quite the ham.

Mudguard shattered in their unexpected meet,

Now the cyclist sought revenge, oh what a feat!

But the dog had lost interest, his savior, divine,

Stopped chasing, perhaps he just wanted a fine dine.

So, he fled from the cyclist too, escaping his fate,

With a limp, and a story, to relate!

Guchi.
