He/She sits upon the pebbles,
The thoughts a jumbled mess.
The pebbles are his/her baggage,
The weight of all the stress.
There are the failures of his/her past,
The regrets that haunt him/her still.
The unfulfilled wishes,
The dreams that never will.
Then are the worries for the loved ones,
The fears that keep him/her up at night.
The hopes and aspirations,
The things he/she still must fight.
This human sits and stares at pebbles,
And wonders how to start.
To sort through all the baggage,
And find a way to a fresh dart.
He/She knows it won’t be easy,
But determined to try.
He/She will not let his/her baggage,
Keep them from the sky.
He/She will stand up and face their fears,
They will not let their fears win.
They will take their baggage with them,
But will not let the baggage define them.
He/She will move on with his/her life,
And that will be okay.
They will find a way to sort through their baggage,
And find their way to happiness.
