I can sleep anywhere, anytime, anyplace,
My slumbering skills, a true winning ace.
Dozing off while reading, a paper in my hand,
Or nodding off while watching TV, it’s grand!
Even while working on my trusty laptop,
My eyelids droop, oh, it’s hard to stop.
I sleep when I meet a boring guy,
Somebody with a talk, monotonous and dry.
Eating becomes a challenge, a fight to stay awake,
Boredom lulls me into a dreamy lake.
But when it comes to a good drink, interesting person or tale,
My energy surges, I’m fully awake and hale.
Narrating stories, with eyes wide open,
No drowsiness, no signs of napping, unbroken.
I wonder, what’s wrong with my sleepy self,
Drifting away, as if under a magical spell.
Perhaps I need a jolt, a caffeine spree,
Or maybe I’m just a narcoleptic mystery!
Guchi.
