For eternal happiness follow the path of Dharma!

Dharma is not Religion as many of you would think. It is coined from a Sanskrit word and has Indian ancient philosophical thought. During war of Mahabharata when Arjuna was dithering from waging war against his kins, Lord Krishna explained to him the concept of Dharma.

As per Lord Krishna’s discourse to Arjuna as mentioned in Gita Dharma implies the sense of right ordering that supports the cosmos. Dharma is equivalent to natural law and order. According to Lord Krishna Dharma is for the soul and not for the body. Dharma is learnt from God as the soul is to be kept as clean as possible.

Dharma is based on five pillars; Knowledge, Patience, Justice, Love And Dedication. One’s Dharma is to perform the Right Actions with Fair Play and Justice by following the Rightful path and as per the dictates of your Conscience. In layman’s language Dharma implies.

1. Following your commitments sincerely.

2. Justice and FairPlay, ensuring that your actions do not hurt others.

3. Keeping your word in any agreed upon transaction and fulfilling your obligations even under challenging conditions.

4. Not claiming or grabbing something which is not rightfully yours.

5. Ensuring that your actions do not spoil the environment and the Society.

6. Not cheating or deceiving others.

7. Motivating your children to follow the path of Dharma and imbibing good values (Sanskara) in life.

8. Righteous or Regulated living.

9. Instilling a sense of Discipline in every walk of life, be it Work, Societal Behaviour, Entertainment, Financial dealings, Mental and Physical conditioning.

10. Loyalty to your Family, Society and the Country.

Let us imbibe Dharma in our day to day life to remain Contented, Blissful and Peaceful. May Lord bless us all and put us on the path of Dharma.

Guchi.
