A little strange, but village markets do exist even in USA, the photograph shown is right here in New Rochelle (New York) which is set up at Library lawns on Saturdays and where local produce of farmers is sold. This is quite akin to Indian village markets called Haat. The commodities are much cheaper than the market rate besides you can have lot of fun here with snack shops and sing song kiosks.
