Pics; Monuments of Indian Freedom Struggle, Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar (India)

Jallianwala Bagh is situated in Amritsar, near Golden Temple and is a symbol of Indian freedom struggle. Jallianwala massacre took place on 13 April 1919 when a crowd of non violent protesters, along with Baishakhi pilgrims, who were gathered there were fired upon by the troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Dyer. 379 persons died and 1200 were wounded. Presently a monument has been erected at the place of massacre and some snaps taken are :-Amritsar3
